Living Well, the Brazilian Way
I'm Camille, a writer, business owner, mom, and a Carioca living in CaliforniaIt starts with food. But it’s about so much more.
Living well the Brazilian way isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about creating a life that feels vibrant, connected, and deeply nourishing.
For years, I’ve shared Brazilian-inspired recipes because I believe food is one of our greatest tools for well-being. But the more I’ve studied health—and the more I’ve learned from my time in Rio—the more I’ve realized that wellness extends far beyond what’s on our plates.
Get recipes and science-informed, real-life inspiration delivered to your inbox. Think of me as your Brazilian bestie—here to remind you to eat well, move your body, gather your people, slow down, and enjoy a glass of wine once in a while.
Like Carnaval is to a tourist, fall is incredibly exotic to a Carioca.
In Rio, the seasons are subtle. There are no changing leaves, no pumpkin spice invasion, and no dramatic shift into sweater weather. Autumn, as I now know and love, is something I discovered in college, in the world-famous leaf-peeping destination of Burlington, Vermont. And I’ve been in love ever since.
There’s something beautiful about giving yourself permission to romanticize the seasons as they change. For fall I start to cook slower, cling to seasonal produce that is changing, start to dress a little differently, and prepare for many gatherings around the table that come as the year ends.
