Ground Beef Stir-Fry
This is a recipe from my Brazilian Nutritionist Carla Faedo for a perfect ground beef stirfry, to be eaten just like that. I know you are thinking “that is a lot of ingredients” but trust! I love Carla’s recipes because they include so many superfoods.
Equipment
Large Frying Pan
Cutting Board
Knife
Measuring cups and spoons
Ingredients
2 tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, grated
1⁄2 bell pepper, diced
1⁄2 tablespoon ginger, grated
1 tablespoon miso
1 lb ground Beef
¾ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon soy sauce or liquid aminos
1⁄2 cup tomato sauce
Black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon each of green onion & parsley, chopped
Servings: Makes 4-6 servings
Time: 25 minutes active time
Steps
- Stir fry onion, garlic, ginger, bell pepper, miso in the two oils until golden.
- Add beef, salt, cumin, cinnamon, stirring occasionally to cook evenly.
- When the meat is browned, add soy or aminos, tomato sauce. Let simmer for 3 minutes.
- Finish with black pepper to taste, green onion and parsley.
Serving Suggestion
Sure, you can put it in a taco if you wish, but I think it is perfect as a protein for your Brazi plate of rice and beans.
