Learning at Le Cordon Bleu Rio
I had the honor and privilege of spending three days at @lecordonbleubrasil for a short course on Brazilian Gastronomy. Having no professional training, I had set a goal to take cooking classes this year. When the opportunity arose to do it at this renowned cooking school, with a focus on the food I was trying to learn about, AND be in Rio, I booked a ticket.
I learned SO much: universal kitchen techniques, nuances of Brazilian flavors, our native ingredients, and the cultural significance of some of our most famous dishes. The biggest thing I took away? That I still have so much to learn and I can’t wait to keep doing it!
Thank you to Chefs @marcusales29 and @mylenelimaa who taught with so much passion and precision, to the sous chefs @aguileravitor @adri_gastro who lit the terrifyingly large burners (and did so much more) and for Le Cordon Bleu Rio for lighting the proverbial fire in me to go deeper and keep pursuing knowledge in the kitchen and in Brazilian history books.
Leaving warm hugs to all the wonderful, curious, inspiring people in this class, each on such a unique beautiful journey including my new friends in cooking @bcnacozinha and @brunaspinola1
